Pete Best |
Pete Best is The Original Beatles Drummer. He was a Beatle from 1960-62, and during this time he played more than a thousand shows including three tours of Germany. He played drums on the Beatles' first record “My Bonnie” (Polydor) and also on the Decca sessions including such songs as “P.S. I Love You”, “Like Dreamers Do”, “Hello Little Girl” and many others. Before his mysterious dismissal he recorded “Love Me Do” with The Beatles at Abbey Road Studios. “Love Me Do” became the Beatles' first chart success. Since his return to show-business in 1988, Pete has done three world tours, released four CD’s, written two books and appeared on every major chat show in the world including The David Letterman show, Oprah Winfrey and many others. In 1995 ten of Pete’s tracks were included on the multi-platinum “Beatle Anthology 1.” His latest CD is entitled "The Casbah Coffee Club," and his current tour is called "Best Of The Beatles— The Pete Best Band."
