The Beatles were invited back to Hamburg Germany to play at The Top Ten Club alongside Tony Sheridan who was the house musician. It was here that record producer Bert Kaempfert first saw The Beatles and Tony Sheridan and decided to record them together for Polydor. Their first recording was of course “My Bonnie”.

Upon their successful return to Liverpool as Polydor recording artists, and with numerous inquiries at Nems Record Store for the "My Bonnie" single, Brian Epstein’s interest in this popular group became apparent when he appeared at the Original Cavern club (Pete Best’s mother Mona secured their first booking there) to watch a performance. Brian Epstein was so impressed that he later approached The Beatles with an offer to manage them.
